The desertbred chestnut stallion ILDERIM, foaled about 1896, was purchased in Constantinople in 1900 by Oberst Trippenbach for Prince Roman Sanguszko the Younger's Slawuta stud, together with ARSLAN and DZEJLAN, two stallions who didn't establish a sireline in Poland.

Even if, as we will see, the sireline of ILDERIM is a line of magnificents stallions and great champions, it has also produced some of the most beautiful mares and most important broodmares of Polish breeding. So, BAKSZYSZ, ILDERIM's son, sired DZIEWANNA, the dam of several influent stallions like ROZMARYN and, above all, PIOLUN, stolen by the Russians and used at Tersk stud where he had an considerable influence. He is also the father of unmistakable ELEGANTKA, the dam of four chiefsires among which LOWELAS, OPAL and illustrious WIELKY SZLEM. His own son, FETYSZ, is the sire of MAKATA, the dam of incomparable WITRAZ.
MARABUT, product of the fourth generation, managed to produce GASTRONOMIA, the foundress of a show and race champions dynasty.

The best champion producer of this sireline is undeniably AQUINOR, he too a fouth generation product. Three of his sons were used for breeding in Poland, that is the Swedish national champion TRYPTYK 1965, and the two full brothers ELF 1963 and ELEUZIS 1962 who went to win the European supreme title as well as the Canadian reserve one. AQUINOR's other son, EXELSJOR, European and Swedish champion as well, was exported as a yearling to the Blommeröd stud in Sweden, where he sired valuable broodmares like notably the Swedish National champion BOREXIA, the dam of illustrious PROBAT. Finally, his last son of importance is none else than ELKIN, who by winning the national champion title of both USA and Canada, is partly responible for the craze of the american people for the Polish Arabians. But AQUINOR is also the sire of two remarkable mares : ELKANA 1969 (out of ESTEBNA), sold to USA where she won the tiltes of US National Champion and Canada Reserve National Champion, and ESPADA (out of ESKAPADA), foundress of a dynasty of champions through her daughters, the Polish National Champion ESTANCJA, and EMISJA, the dam of Michalów living legend EMIGRACJA.

TRYPTYK 1965 was used for some seasons and sired the Polish and Swedish National champion PARYS, who was himself briefly used for breeding.
ELF 1963 stood at stud for 5 seasons until his untimely death at nine years old. Three of his sons were also used as sires to name CZEREMOSZ, sold later to the States where he was Reserve National Champion, EUFRAT and ESKIMOS. ELF, in the family tradition, also sired important broodmares like ELANA, the dam of European champion ELART and Polish National Champion Mare EGZOTYKA, like GWIAZDA, dam of stallion GWIZD, used at Russian Statestud Tersk to introduce the KUHAILAN AFAS sireline, and ELWIRA, the dam of European Reserve Champion ENDEL. His own son EUFRAT produced EROTYKA, the dam of Polish and European Champion Stallion ELDON.
Nevertheless, it is the European Champion ELEUZIS (AQUINOR x ELLENAI) who managed to pursue the ILDERIM line through his two sons born in 1970 : European Champion ENGANO and Polish and European Champion PARTNER.

In only one season in Janów, ENGANO left two stallions, ALGIERCZYK and ETNOGRAF, and the two important broodmares ELEKTRODA and the Derby and Oaks winner SASZETKA. But his line was pursued by his Swedish born son PRIMO who stand at stud for two seasons in Janów where he sired Polish Junior Champion ESCULAP, selected by Michalów as chiefsire for the 2004 season.

PARTNER, for his part, was used extensively by the four Polish State studs from 1974 until his death in 1992. He is the father of great stallions like the Polish and European Champion PENITENT 1979, Polish and Dutch National Champion and Nations Cup and Italian National Reserve Champion PESAL 1991, Swedish National Champion GOKART 1975 and Swedish National and World Champion RUMAK, born in Sweden in 1983. PARTNER also sired champion mares like ARGENTYNA, CENTRALA, GONDAWA, PASJA and SARADELA, as well as BALLADA, the dam of Polish and Swedish National Champion and longtime chiefsire BALON.

PESAL, used mainly in his home stud Bialka but also in Michalów and Janów, has been sold to the Netherlands in 2003. He is notably the father of Polish Junior and European, Nations Cup and World Reserve Junior Champion GIRLAN-BEY, the first privately bred Polish Champion. GIRLAN BEY was sold to Sweden as a yearling but will have a chance to be the progenitor who will perpetuate the stock as he has been selected to be a chiefsire in Michalów in 2008.

PENITENT was exported to USA at the age of 9. During his years at stud, he managed to sire his successor ELDON, himself Polish and European Champion, the Swedish and international champion DONKISZOT, and great mares like US National Champion Mare KAWALKADA, and international champion PALBA and PALESTRA.

Still intensively used now, ELDON 1985, who si the result of an inbreeding on the ILDERIM sireline, is considered in Pologne as chief progenitor of this sireline, able to sire show champions as Polish Junior and international champion EDEON, Polish Junior, Dutch National champion and 2004 Polish National Champion PIAFF, Polish and Nations Cup Junior Champion ANEGDOTA, Polish Junior Reserve Champion EMIKA, and international champion mares EPRUWETKA and PERSENKOWKA, as well as race champions like Derby winner ESPADERO and ARABESKA or good broodmares like SIEWKA.

Besides ESCULAP and PESAL, described above, it was ELDON's sons ESPADERO and mainly PIAFF, the sixth generation of an incredible unbroken line of international champions, which take over the chiefsire status of their father. Used several seasons in Janów, ESPADERO was sold in Australia for the highest price of the 2006 Polish Auction, 210.000€. PIAFF, before his lease to the United States, has sired some magnificent foals in Janów Podlaski like Bialka Spring show class winner AGUSTA and Polish National Junior Champion ALERT, which is considered by the Janów staff as the future progenitor in charge to perpetuate this line of magnificent horses, of great type and extravagant mouvements...
