Before being selected as a broodmare for the breeding program of the Janów Podlaski State studfarm where she is born in 1986, ANTWERPIA spend with succes two seasons on the racetrack, winning 2 races and finishing in the money 10 times on 12 starts. She illustrated also herself in the showring being several times in the Top 5 during the polish national championships. Considered in Janów as an elite saklawi broodmare of the stud, she left a numerous progeny of 8 foals from which 4 females. Three of them were used as broodmares to continue her damline : the full sisters ANEKSJA and ANTENA by Polish National champion BALON, and the etheral ANDALUZJA by SANADIK EL SHAKLAN, herself a multiple Top 5 during the Polish Nationals. ANEKSJA, exported to USA in 2004 for 32.000€, is herself the mother of beautiful ANDROMEDA, champion filly at Micne show whereas ANDALUZJA has produced the Polish National Junior Champion ALERT by PIAFF, a future chiefsire for Janów Podlaski.

Since her importation from Poland in 2000, ANTWERPIA gave us 4 colts, ANTARTYK 2001 by EMIGRANT, ANAGRAMM 2002 by MONOGRAMM and ANUBIS 2004 by GAZAL AL SHAQAB and ADONIS 2006 by EKSTERN. In the same time, she managed, when 17 years old, to became Alsace International Reserve Champion and Balen Show Champion Mare and Best in Show (93.67pts).

ANTWERPIA's sire, ETERNIT, is one of the first BANDOS sons to become chiefsire. Later he was exported to France where he was elected Marseille International Champion Stallion. Besides ANTWERPIA, he is notably the sire of PILINA and PARTYTURA, the respective mothers of chiefsire PIBER, the designated successor of his sire PAMIR, and multiple stakes winner PARAD.
BANDOS, who appears two times in her pedigree, was considered by Andrzej Krzystalowicz, the former Janów Podlaski stud director, as the most valuable stallion born in Janów after World War II. He sired excellent progeny among which numerous champions as PEPTON, EUKALIPTUS, ENOS, ETERNIT, ARRA, EUROPA, ENKLAWA, EUFORIA or PENTODA and was sold to USA for 806.000$ despite his 18 years of age.
Her paternal grand-mother ETNA, belonging to the WOLOSZKA damline, can be considered as a high merited mare in the Polish breeding program, as she produced 3 chiefsires, ETAP, ETERNIT and ETNOGRAF and 2 exceptionnal mares, the Polish Junior Champion and Nations Cup Reserve Junior Champion EQUITANA, and the Polish, European and World Champion mare ETRURIA, one of the most beautiful polish mare ever and the dam of two champion stallion and chiefsires, ETOGRAM and ECAHO.

In the damline ANTWERPIA traces back to GAZELLA, a Kohejl-Agjus grey mare imported from the desert in 1845 by Count Dzieduszycki. She belong more precisely to the ARWILLA - WILGA - JASKOLKA II branch of this damline. She is one of the best daughters of 1990 Polish National Champion and 1989 Ostend Masters' International Reserve Champion Mare ANGOLA. She was an extraordinary producer being also the dam of 2001 and 2002 Reserve National Champion Stallion and Chiefsire ANGOR, of 1999 Nations' Cup Reserve Junior and 1998 Polish Spring Show Champion filly ANEGDOTA, and International Champion Mares ANGLIA and ANKARA. ANGOLA is the result of the famous "Diamond Cross" breeding, the cross of the bloods of BANDOS and PALAS, or NEGATIW - ASWAN or SKOWRONEK - NAZEER, which is responsible for so much champions in the World. Her father PALAS, altough bred in the Russian Studfarm Tersk, had a 3/4 egyptian pedigree. He is still the biggest producer of Polish Champions beeing the father of the champions stallions GONDOLIER, HARACZ, ARARAT, ENDEL, FESTIWAL, ELART and the champion mares PILARKA, PENYCILINA, CAMEA, EGINA, FAJKA, FANTASTKA, KABALA, EMIGRACJA, PERFIDIA, PREMIA, WARSZULA, ALEJKA, ETRURIA and ANGOLA.
